Tim Pawlenty has never been less popular than he is now as Minnesota's governor

So, is God still in control? And if so, what is God saying? With the latest job performance poll on Tim Pawlenty putting his approval rating among Minnesotans at 42 percent, Eric Ostermeier notes at Smart Politics that T-Paw has never been less popular on his home turf.

He based his call after looking back at 70 non-partisan public opinion polls dating to the start of T-Paw's first term in office in 2003, and noted that the governor has been able to tap into a surprising amount of good will in that time.

However, once the rumors of Pawlenty's national political ambitions really began to take hold in 2009, Pawlenty's approval numbers began to drop and never quite recovered.
