Taijah the Minnesota Zoo dolphin meets dad [VIDEO]
It's early days yet, so maybe down the road we'll see some adolescent rebellion from young Taijah, the Minnesota Zoo's baby dolphin. But for the time being, she appears to be happy swimming under the wings of her dad.
The two were introduced yesterday.
Taijah was born seven months ago, and she's been hanging out with her mother, Allie, in a tank separate from Semo; dolphin family values include fathers sometimes pushing their kids around.
But the zoo's dolphin experts figure Taijah is old enough and big enough -- 4 feet long weighing 120 pounds - to be able to handle herself. The result: Everone appears to be getting along swimmingly.
