Steve Perry joins MinnPost

In Steve Perry's latest journalistic adventure, the former City Pages editor has joined MinnPost. Perry stepped down as news editor of Minnesota Independent last month

More from MinnPost on his new gig:
Beginning today, MinnPost will feature a new daily blog called Political Economy and written by Steve Perry.
As its title suggests, Steve's blog won't be regurgitating dry economic data you can get from other sources.
Instead he will examine what economic numbers and trends are likely to mean -- and how the biggest story of our day is playing out in the political arena -- both nationally and in Minnesota, and the ramifications for all of us.
Perry joined Minnesota Independent in February of last year and led the Web site through the election season. The site's parent company, Center for Independent Media, came under fire in November when they laid off several staffers and cut freelance budget following the election. Laid off writers raised concerns about the non-profit's intent as a truly non-partisan news source.

Perry started working for City Pages in 1984 and was most recently editor from 2002 to 2007.
