Star Tribune to Lose 145
Star Tribune Publisher Par Ridder this afternoon announced a plan to cut the paper's workforce by 145 people; 50 layoffs are expected in the newsroom. Some jobs will be eliminated, but in a memo to the staff, Ridder explained that if too few people take voluntary buyouts layoffs will be required.
