St. Paul teacher accused of drugging, molesting 12-year-old girl
Robert Howard Swanson, a 43-year-old St. Paul junior high school teacher, has been charged with criminal sexual conduct in the drugging and molesting of a 12-year-old girl over New Years at his home in Cambridge.
Swanson, who says he has sexual addiction problems, apparently added diazepam to the girl's drink without her knowledge. The Pioneer Press reported she told police he put his hands down her pants, and then later asked forgiveness and feared losing his teaching license.
He was arrested on Monday and charged in Isanti County District Court. For now, he's been relieved of his teaching duties at at Ramsey Junior High School. The principal there sent a note home to parents about the alleged attack, saying it didn't involve a student at the school.
