St. Paul police arrest two suspects wounded in gun battle

A St. Paul gun battle last night resulted in one man dead and two others hospitalized with serious injuries. The two survivors are now under arrest in connection with the other man's death and the gun violence.

One man was killed around 9 p.m. Sunday night on the 400 block of E. Case Avenue. More arrests are likely, police say.

More from the Star Tribune:

The gunfire followed "a dispute between these people who were known to each other," Police Sgt. Paul Schnell said this afternoon. From there, "it turned into a fight ... and untimately a gun battle."

The men who were arrested sufffered "quite serious" gunshot wounds and were taken to Regions Hospital, Schnell said.
