Shortage of corporate sponsors dooms local celebration of democracy
The state of Minnesota has canceled plans for a Fourth of July parade to celebrate the centennial of the state capitol's construction this year, reports USA Today. The reason: Too few corporate sponsors stepped forward to finance the event. We're not making this up.
