Scrubbing the MIA sun
Cleaning a 3,000 pound sunburst is no easy task. The Minneapolis Institute of Art's sculpture is 10 feet tall and has 1,000 individual pieces of glass and 100 feet of neon tubing. The sculpture is cleaned once a year and it takes about three hours to complete.
