Scott Mark Halverson threatens Winona cops with toilet ripped from bathroom floor
A 50-year-old man ripped the toilet from his bathroom floor in a rage on Sunday night in Winona when cops came to check out reports that he was off his meds and holed up with a knife.
Water sprayed from the busted plumbing as cops first bashed a hole in the door big enough for them to tear gas the man. Then they tried and failed to fire a Taser through the hole to subdue him.
Finally, they broke down the door to find Scott Mark Halverson holding the toilet over his head and threatening them, according to a report in the Winona Daily News.
He's being held at St. Marys Hospital in Rochester pending possible charges.
