Sans shirt and shorts, man passes out on strange porch, asks police if they 'know who I am'
Hurd was still sans shirt while being booked into jail.
Kyle Hurd, a 25-year-old resident of Sioux Falls, SoDak, apparently has an ego problem.
He must've had quite the bender last Friday night, because the next morning, he awoke on an unfamiliar Stillwater porch, shorts around his ankles and without a shirt. And when police arrived, Hurd asked officers "if they knew who he was," according to police reports. Officers, presumably, said 'no, sir, we have no clue, but we will after we book you in Washington County Jail.'
What an unpleasant surprise for the unsuspecting homeowner, who entered his enclosed porch at around 7 a.m. Saturday to discover the stranger passed out in a sitting position on his porch. Thankfully, Hurd at least had the decency to keep his boxers on.
Police noted that Hurd "was obviously intoxicated." You think?
But when officers tried to rouse him, Hurd revealed he's an angry drunk, allegedly getting belligerent with police and going into his 'do you know who I am routine?'
He was ultimately hauled to jail and cited for disorderly conduct, trespassing, and resisting arrest without force. Hurd's mug shot reveals that he wasn't able to find his shirt between the porch and being booked. We'd imagine officers at least made him pull his shorts up.
