Ryedelle Reginald Loving arrested in Gilbert Jordan's murder
Ryedelle Reginald Loving, a 21-year-old from Northeast Minneapolis, has been booked into the Hennepin County jail on probable cause murder in the death of Gilbert Jordan, the city's 30th homicide victim of the year. Minneapolis police Sgt. William Palmer said Loving was arrested at about 4 a.m. Tuesday.
Jordan was gunned down early Sunday morning outside the Old Colony gas station on Washington Avenue and West Broadway Avenue, along with two others. All three were rushed to Hennepin County Medical Center; but Jordan didn't survive.
The shooting came only days after Mayor R.T. Rybak, U.S. Attorney B. Todd Jones, Hennepin County Attorney Mike Freeman and city police Chief Tim Dolan announced a new effort -- Project Exile -- to try and grapple with the city's growing homicide numbers.
