If you want to be registered to vote before Nov. 4, do it today. Oct. 14 is the state deadline for pre-registering for the election.
To register, bring a registration form to the Secretary of State's Office at 100 Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., St. Paul, or to any county courthouse. Also, you may call your county to see where alternative designated registration drop-off place is -- usually they are libraries. This has to be done by 5 p.m.
If that sounds like too much of a hassle, you can register to vote on Nov. 4 at the polling place. To find out where your polling place is, visit the Secretary of State polling place site.
For more information, visit the Minnesota Secretary of State Web site, or call 651.215.1440.
There is no cutoff for registering for an absentee ballot, but all absentee ballots must be received by the elections office by Nov. 4 to count in the election.
The polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Election Day, Nov. 4.
