Reader Carol Ann Pass responds to Alondra Cano flunks City Council 101:
"My most recent experience with Council member Cano was when our team was working on an urban agriculture bill and was informed on short notice that we were to testify before the Agriculture Committee.
We called Councilwoman Cano that morning to see if she could join us. She immediately agreed, took time out from a busy day and promptly drove to St. Paul in time for the hearing.
She delivered a brilliant speech filled with specifics on behalf of the bill and its job-producing potential. She skillfully answered questions from the committee in a warm and engaging fashion to which a committee member remarked something to the effect that it was both enjoyable and rare to hear from a council member.
We, her constituents, were more than pleased."
