Reader: Minnesota is lucky to have MPR's Madeleine Baran

Minnesota Public Radio's Madeleine Baran implicated three archbishops in the conspiracy.

Reader Rosemary McHugh responds to People Issue 2016: Madeleine Baran, the reporter:

"Madeleine Baran is a brilliant investigative reporter in Minnesota. Her work reminds me of the fine work of the investigative reporters in the new movie Spotlight, which uncovered the Catholic hierarchy's coverup of widespread clergy sexual abuse of innocent children in Boston.

"I am a family physician. I have met many who were sexually abused by priests. I was sexually assaulted by a Carmelite priest when I was a young doctor in Dublin, Ireland.

"I had the privilege of meeting Madeleine at an annual conference by the Survivors Network of those Abused by Priests (SNAP). Victim/survivors can be very grateful for work that Madeleine is doing to make the truth known, of the need for the pope and bishops to be investigated and to become accountable to secular law enforcement for the crimes they are hiding." — Dr. Rosemary Eileen McHugh, MD
