Reader: Have you geniuses ever been to Red Lake County?

How could this possibly be the worst place in America? Especially when there's something called Texas?

How could this possibly be the worst place in America? Especially when there's something called Texas?

Reader Chad Mead responds to Minnesota's Red Lake County named America's worst place to live:

In my hometown of Red Lake Falls, which is located in Red Lake County, two rivers meet at a place appropriately called "The Point." There is tubing, kayaking, and canoeing going down these two picturesque rivers. There is a baseball field located in a bowl that is one of the most  beautiful settings I have ever seen.

There is a historical county courthouse that sits atop a hill in town. There is a golf course that has two holes that follow the river around a bend in the river called Sandy Bottoms. Teeing off on one of the holes there is a 40-50 foot drop that overlooks the river.

Did the geniuses who came up with this ludicrous theory ever visit Red Lake County?
