Public access TV legends Viva and Jerry holding huge Lyn-Lake-area garage sale
Viva and Jerry
We'll go out on a limb and say this is the one garage sale in Minneapolis you won't want to miss this decade.
From 9 a.m. to roughly 4 p.m. today and tomorrow, Minneapolis public access TV legends Viva and Jerry are holding a huge garage sale at 38th Street and Lyndale Avenue South.
A Facebook post about the sale says items include "everything from toys, to glassware, household goods and a few tables full of unique and funny things. PLUS HUNDREDS of FREE Viva and Jerry VHS tapes. Yes, FREE!"
Not familiar with the Viva and Jerry Country Music Videos show? Here's a clip:
The happily married couple's first show aired on MTN in 1992. Viva and Jerry describe it thusly on their Facebook page:
We pride ourselves on making people happy. We first bring you two of Nashville's music videos by today's hottest country artists. We then feature a tender moment that we find necessary, Sometimes an Elvis moment (from any thrift store I find one at) and then on to the SPOOFS! Our show has themes and we find things at church sales, garage sales and our favorite VALUE VILLAGE to help us make this show possible.
And here's an interview the couple did with a young Jon Stewart back in the 1990s:
On Craigslist, Viva and Jerry say their garage sale will include Christmas Barbies, Cabbage Patch Kids, a box of Playboy magazines from the 1970s (hot!), and "loads" of antique books.
If you're in the area and have a little bit of cash to spare, you won't want to miss it. Actually, even if you're broke, you'll probably enjoy just meeting Viva and Jerry.
