Post Office hours reminder for the tax procrastinators
We'd hope that most people would get their taxes done at least a day or two ahead of schedule (we've still got one to mail out), but there are always the folks who will speed out to the airport late Wednesday night just in time to mail their taxes off to the IRS.
We've got you covered. Make sure you know the post office locations that will be OK with your terrible stalling habit unless you want to give the government some more of your dough. Check out hours and locations below.
In case you live under a rock, Wednesday (April 15) is the last day to file your 2008 federal tax forms without an extension. Check out the U.S. Postal Service website for all locations and hours.
The Minneapolis and St. Paul main post offices will be open until 8 p.m. After 8 p.m., the Air Mail Center at the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport is the only location that will offer window service until midnight. All three of those locations will accept returns with proper postage until midnight and postmark them with the April 15 stamp.
