Peyton Manning's Joe Kapp reference was awesome [VIDEO]
Last night, Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning become the first NFL quarterback to throw for seven touchdowns since... wait, Joe Kapp of the Vikings was the last guy to do it? Really?
Indeed. In September 1969, Kapp threw for seven TDs during the Vikings' 52-14 romp over Baltimore at Metropolitan Stadium. Bet you didn't know that, right? But Manning, asked after his magical performance how it feels to join Kapp as only the second QB in NFL history to throw for that many TDs in a game, dropped some Kapp knowledge of his own on reporters.
"Great Canadian quarterback out of Cal," Manning said. "Kicked the crap out of a guy on YouTube a couple of years ago, too."
Peyton's last comment was a reference to the unforgettable video embedded below, which shows a then-73-year-old Kapp getting into a fight with former CFL rival Angelo Mosco during an event in December 2011:
Peyton's remarkably internet-savvy remark is all the more impressive considering the guy still doesn't even have a Twitter account. Talk about having a hot night!
