Pawlenty makes Drudge with attack on Obama
Tim Pawlenty took another big step toward a presidential run today when he was prominently featured on influential conservative website Drudge Report for a bon mot he made on climate change.
Drudge summed up Pawlenty's dig this way:
The headline links to a speech Pawlenty made in Chicago to an audience of GOP state legislators. Pawlenty argued that Obama's policies were triggering a backlash that would lead to a Republican resurgence.
The full quote: "It appears that President Obama is making great progress on climate change, he is changing the political climate in the country back to Republican."
Ironically--considering that Drudge is famously closeted--the story also quotes Pawlenty recycling his new favorite line: "The only thing growing faster than the federal deficit and debt is Chris Matthews' man crush on Obama."
He'll be here all week, folks. Tip your waitress.
