The bird droppings on the floor were the first sign that Tuesday was not going to be an ordinary day inside the Minnesota History Center.
Then came the massive plastic containment curtain, and a bearded guy with a net riding a lift, from the Raptor Center.[jump]
The source of the excitement for MHC folks more accustomed to dusty documents and artifacts: A cute, fluffy owl, no bigger than a football, perched on a beam high above its admiring crowd.
"Craziest thing ever! A predator in the building. A really cute predator," one excited employee gushed.
Staff dubbed the owl "Ramsey," who will be released into the wild by the Raptor Center folks after a check up.
