Nice Flip: From KG to Lebron?

Saunders tops Cavs wish list

After Paul Silas was unceremoniously canned as coach of the Cleveland Cavaliers on Tuesday, it didn?t take long for former Wolves coach Flip Saunders to move into heavy rotation in the rumor milling over who will pilot the Cavs next season. The Akron Beacon Journal and hoops columnist Marc Stein both cite high-ranking NBA sources who claim Flip is the current frontrunner to replace Silas. As a native of the Cleveland area with experience rearing a fabulously versatile player through the transition from high school to the pros, Saunders is an attractive choice. Indeed, Stein hints that Flip could have his pick of potential job offers from Detroit, Portland, and Cleveland before next season's opening tap. But he wasn't good enough for the Wolves, who continue to limp along in his absence.
