New York Daily News predicts Yankees "E-Z Pass" over Twins
A great, big Bronx Cheer for the New York Daily News today, where the back page of the sports section declares: "E-Z Pass."
"Bad news: Yanks must go on the road for playoffs. Good news: They play the Twins."
Coming off last night's loss to the Red Sox, "Seeing the Twins in the opposing dugout should be a comfort for the Yankees," writes Mark Feinsand.
The Bronx Bombers, he reminds his readers, "dispatched Minnesota in the first round in 2003, 2004 and again last season, when they swept the Twins in three games during their march to the World Series."
OK. So the Twins are slumping after nailing down the division title. But we say "fuggedaboutit" with the attitude. And so does the Yanks' Derek Jeter.
"If you're going to win, you have to win on the road, you have to win at home and you have to beat good teams."
Meanwhile, behold the New York bluster:
