New laws in effect today
Here are some of the new laws Minnesotans have to put up with, effective today (via the AP):
-Gift cards can no longer have expiration dates or service fees for inactivity.
-Body piercing for minors will henceforth require parental permission.
-Insurers are now required to pay for hearing aids for kids who need them.
-Health clubs, cell phone companies, and other companies that have contracts with consumers can no longer charge military personnel and their families cancellation penalties if the service member is deployed or stationed elsewhere.
