Mom shares upsetting video of teenage daughter getting jumped in the woods [VIDEO]

What started as a DWI arrest in the town of St. Francis took a very ugly turn on Friday, according to a mother's Facebook post.

As Jennifer Connolly DeTennancour frames this video, her daughter, 15-year-old Sydney, was one of a few people riding in a man's car when he was pulled over driving drunk on Wednesday night. The man's girlfriend did not appreciate Sydney's presence in that car, according to DeTennancour, and her response was to lure young Syndey out to the woods to exact revenge.

It's hard to watch, as Sydney's instant response to the onslaught is to cover up and wait for it to be over. In a clearly choreographed insult-to-injury move, one girl appears onscreen with a scissors and hacks off a bunch of the victim's hair.

DeTennancour say this is not the first time the girls attacking her daughter have intimated they might be dangerous.

"These girls have pics of them holding guns taking selfies," she wrote. "Pointing them at each other's heads like it's cool."

If there's one good thing about such an awful moment being captured on film (by the criminals!) it's that they'll have a hard time getting out of this one. Good luck trying to make a claim that this was any way justifiable.

DeTennancour wrote underneath the same Facebook post that the perpetrators were only facing fifth degree assault charges, as her daughter didn't sustain bad enough injuries to trigger a higher offense. (The girl's father, Robert, tells the Star Tribune she's "shaken up still" but "will be OK.")

Oh well. Let's assume their reputation's ruined, in that town, and others: The video's already been seen about 300,000 times.
