It looks like Wisconsin residents finally care (a little too much) that we rip on them all the time. Until your crazy news stops coming over the border, we'll keep reporting it. Besides, poking fun at Wisconsin makes our muscles feel bigger and our pants tighter. It's all about self-confidence.
GREEN BAY -- A woman who enrolled at Ashwaubenon High School and tried out for cheerleading while using her daughter's name has been committed to a mental health facility for three years. Records show Brown attended one day of classes last August and practiced with the cheerleading squad using her 15-year-old daughter's identity to relive her high school experience.

RACINE -- Racine Mayor Gary Becker was arrested Tuesday as part of what one city official described as a child pornography investigation.
Woman helps boyfriend out of snow, he allegedly strangles her
EAU CLAIRE -- An Eau Claire man was charged with attempting to strangle his girlfriend Sunday at her home on Eau Claire's east side. According to the criminal complaint, an Eau Claire woman came home Sunday to find her live-in boyfriend lying in the snow on the front steps of her home. After she helped him into the house, he began choking her with his hands, telling her to die.
CASHTON - Four people are hurt when a vehicle and horse-drawn buggy collide on a slippery Monroe County highway. The woman's vehicle started to slide, then hit a buggy driven by 18-year-old Levi Miller of Cashton. The horse was thrown onto the hood of the vehicle.
A 51-year-old frequent sleepwalker, barefoot and dressed for bed, was found dead of exposure to subzero temperatures Tuesday outside his Hayward, Wis., home, authorities reported.
LADYSMITH -- A Ladysmith man with 96 traffic-related stops by police and involvement in two fatal traffic crashes was placed on five years of probation, including a year in jail, Tuesday in Rusk County Court for killing a man two years ago while he walked in a crosswalk.
