Last week, we announced the Theatres at Mall of America's debut of motion seats. The technology coordinates seat movement with high-intensity scenes so moviegoers feel like they are part of the action. Or potentially covered in a buttery popcorn mess.
The Theatres at MOA said today that the seats will debut May 21 during a showing of "Terminator Salvation".
The MOA theater will be the first in the state and third in the nation to install the D-BOX technology. There will be 30 seats that move along with the high-intensity scenes to make movies more interactive. There will be one auditorium featuring 30 moving seats, which will cost an additional $7 on top of the movie ticket price.
Time to pop a couple Dramamine pills and head over to MOA for some whiplash fun. We might be in trouble after feeling a little nauseous during an omnitheater showing.
