MnDOT worker bares chest to protest shut down: Photo Of The Day
There's been a lot of frustration in Minnesota today over the government shutdown.
The whole thing is kind of ironic. Lawmakers who campaigned on the mantra of job creation have now put tens of thousands of state employees at risk for losing the jobs they already have.
This culmination of Minnesota's partisan politics staring contest really couldn't have come at a worse time. For the 4th of July weekend, all state parks, trails, and zoos are going to be closed.
But not everyone is taking this shutdown sitting down. At least one man is flexing his protesting muscles -- literally -- outside the Capitol.
Alexander Lee, a Capitol Concessions employee who took the below photo, tells us the protestor is a licensing employee for MnDOT who is out of the job until Minnesota lawmakers get their shit together. In the meantime, he's going to camp out on the Capitol lawn.
Thanks to the government shutdown, this dude can't even get a permit for these guns.
