Mischke show notes: May 22, 2009

  • School year books are out this month. I pray to God you don't open them and run into photos like these.
  • I find these photos a great metaphor for life itself. As humans we come across as truly insignificant when compared to the vastness of this great and powerful planet. It can have its way with us whenever it chooses, and does so from time to time. But every now and then, there are these moments when we appear so amazingly in control, as if we've figured it all. In such moments we find a way to shine, and it's beautiful. But in the end, ultimately, nature takes back the reigns and shows us who's boss.
