Minneapolis to educate baffled voters about Instant Runoff Voting

In the dark about how this Instant Runoff Voting jive actually works? Unsure what Instant Runoff Voting even means? Fret not. The city of Minneapolis has got you covered.

Tonight kicks off a series of public educational public meetings regarding Instant Runoff Voting, an uncomplicated but initially intimidating voting method whereby voters rank multiple candidates in order of preference. The Nov. 3 city elections will be Minneapolitans' first brush with IRV and city officials want the rabble up-to-speed. The session begins at 6:30 p.m. at Waite Park Recreation Center and Sandford Middle School.
