Minneapolis SWAT cop arrested in suburban bank robbery
Minneapolis police officer Timothy Edward Carson has been arrested after allegedly robbing a bank in Apple Valley on Wednesday -- perhaps even on his way to work -- and is being held at the Dakota County jail.
"This is probably the most shocking thing I've seen in my 30 years, as far as what a police officer could have done," Minneapolis Police Chief Tim Dolan told WCCO. "This tops it all."
The station says police suspect Carson, who is assigned to the 3rd Precinct, of being involved with at least four other robberies near his Dakota County home in the past month.
