Police are still investigating the murders at North 46th and Penn Avenues

A little after 10 a.m. yesterday morning, police got a call about gunshots fired at North 46th and Penn Avenues.

An officer driving a squad car saw two men running south and decided to give chase. A few blocks later, he tracked one down and arrested him.

When police returned to the scene, they found two dead people inside a gold SUV.

The Star Tribune identified one of the victims as Odell Frazier, a stay-at-home dad with nine kids who had recently moved to Minneapolis from Chicago.

The guy the police caught has not been charged or booked yet. Police spokesperson John Elder said the suspect was still being interrogated yesterday afternoon, and that the murders appeared to be a "targeted act."
