Minneapolis homicide is city's second in 2011 [UPDATE]
Minneapolis recorded its second homicide of the year last night, when police and medics found a man shot to death at about 10 p.m. in a car in an alley behind 3656 Clinton Avenue South.
No one has been arrested in the shooting, but several people were detained near the scene, MPD spokesman Sgt. William Palmer said.
Update: Stanley Curtis Rogers, 58, of Minneapolis, has been identified by the Hennepin County Medical Examiner's office as the victim.
His death follows the fatal beating and stabbing of Krissy Bates on Jan. 4. Arnold Darwin Waukazo was charged yesterday with her murder.
