Minn. state trooper jumps into fleeing car

When a car involved in an accident in Interstate 94 Thursday night tried to flee the scene, a Minnesota State Patrol trooper did the only logical thing: jump inside the fleeing car. We're guessing the suspect didn't expect to have a trooper along for the escape.

The incident happened in the backup caused by another crash in the Lowry tunnel. The striking vehicle in the second accident attempted to take off and the trooper jumped in. Other troopers eventually stopped the fleeing car with their coworker inside.

The driver was arrested and the trooper suffered a hand injury during the stunt.

We'd assume troopers aren't instructed to jump into a suspect's car, but the effort to get this person arrested is impressive.
