Michele Bachmann's congressional career may be over, but her (self-)righteous political sword has not been sheathed. With her unsteady blade, the former Tea Party rock star recently took a stab at President Obama and the Congress she loves to hate.
As the U.S. moves toward normalizing relations with Cuba, the former congresswoman launched a petition blasting her ex-colleagues for bowing to "the radical Obama agenda!" The rhetoric comes on the heels of the U.S. State Department whiting out Cuba's name from its list of state sponsors of terrorism.
Here's a screen grab of the online petition, with a brow-furrowing Fidel Castro looming in the background.
Holster those magnifying glasses, kids. The text reads like this:
"Where exactly was Congress? Why did they have no objection to this identity-politics pandering, Communist-coddling disgrace? They did nothing but aid and abet the radical Obama agenda! That's why I'm leading the call to reverse this tragic mistake -- and send a message to all those courageous activists for Cuban liberty who have suffered torture, imprisonment, and death at the hands of the brutal Fidel and Raul Castro regime -- you are not forgotten! Will you please add your name to this effort by immediately signing my 'No Coddling Communist Cuba!' Petition?"
Naturally, signing the online petition immediately transports you to a donation page, where fellow knights of democracy are will be happy to take your credit card information.
