Michele Bachmann calls Barack Obama anti-American and likens herself to Nostradamus
There she goes again.
Speaking to the anti-abortion crowd gathered for the annual Susan B. Anthony List gala in Washington, D.C., 6th District congresswoman reprised the infamous assertion she made before the 2008 general election that Barack Obama was anti-American. Politico was there last night:
Bachmann also said that her controversial remarks of more than a year ago - in which she called Obama "anti-American" and suggested members of Congress be investigated for "anti-American activities" - have proven prophetic.
"I said I had very serious concerns that Barack Obama had anti-American views," she said. "And now I look like Nostradamus."
Surprised? A recent Harris poll found that 67 percent of Republicans think Obama is a socialist, 57 percent think he's a Muslim, 45 percent don't think he's a U.S. citizen and 24 percent think he's the anti-Christ. Getting labelled "anti-American" in that kind of company is easy.
