Mark Dayton, Matt Entenza spend and barely lift a finger

Remember a few months ago when Matt Entenza and Mark Dayton said they would be willing to spend millions of dollars from their own fortunes on their gubernatorial campaigns? Looks like they weren't kidding. This week's campaign cash reporting shows the two millionaire DFL candidates have dipped deep into their personal piggy banks -- while DFL-endorsed Margaret Anderson Kelliher had to come up with cash the old fashioned way, by begging.

So far in the governor's race, Entenza has loaned about $4 million of his own cash to his campaign. Dayton has dropped more than $3 million of his own money. And with two weeks until the DFL primary and months to the general elections, there's still plenty of cash to be spent.

Kelliher announced over the weekend she has raised nearly $1 million so far this year. Trailing slightly, GOP-endorsed Tom Emmer has raised $785,000 in 2010.
