Man says he was sleepwalking when he entered boy's bed naked

A Worthington man who allegedly walked into his girlfriend's son's room naked and crawled into bed with him says he was sleepwalking and didn't know what he was doing.

Gabita Galato Weyo, 21, was charged Thursday with fifth-degree criminal sexual conduct and indecent exposure for the incident last month, according to the Worthington Daily Globe.

Weyo says he had a nightmare that night about being chased and ended up walking in his sleep. He was naked and walked into the room of his girlfriend's 13-year-old son and climbed into his bed. The boy says Weyo tried to kiss him. Her son was just staying the night and his father called police after his son left the house and called him to pick him up. When the boy left and went to another room to sleep, he says Weyo followed him and climbed into the other bed. The boy walked back to his own bed and Weyo followed him again. After he couldn't call his mother, he called his father to come pick him up.

Weyo claims he went downstairs in the home to use the bathroom and stopped in the boy's room and sat down. He says he was awoken when he fell while walking to the bathroom.

The man claims he has had other instances of sleepwalking where he got up in the middle of the night and peed on clothng. His girlfriend also found him walking around in the middle of the night and he told her he was sleeping.

The boy says he wasn't scared, but the man "freaked him out."
