Man allegedly robs motel guest, bites off chunk of his ear
Apparently an armed robbery just isn't enough to get what you really want these days. Time to step it up and start pulling a Mike Tyson.
A Brooklyn Center man faces four felony charges for a May armed robbery that turned bloody when he allegedly bit off a chunk of the victim's ear. The robbery and attack happened at a motel in Brooklyn Center.
Rashawn Lareese Williams, 24, is charged with first-degree assault, two counts of first-degree aggravated robbery and being a prohibited person in possession of a firearm, according to the Star Tribune.
More from the Star Tribune:
According to the criminal complaint, filed Thursday, officers called to the motel were met in the lobby by a woman who told them that two men -- one with a gun -- had burst into her room, beat up her boyfriend and began checking the items in the room.
The woman also said the men pulled off one of her boyfriend's rings and were trying to remove another, which the man with the gun was trying to bite off.
When police went to the room, they found the boyfriend with blood running down his face and part of his right ear missing. He also had bite marks on his left ear. He told police that he had seen the men in the lobby before the robbery and that they had taken several pieces of his jewelry, including a $3,000 necklace.
The victim told police he tried to fight back against the robbers, which turned into a fight and part of his ear was bitten off.
