Fox 9 reports that "the collapse happened around 8 a.m. at the former Gillette building at East 5th Street and Broadway, which is being demolished to clear the site for the new St. Paul Saints ballpark."
WCCO reports that the worker was operating a backhoe when the collapse happened. It's unclear whether anybody else was injured.
According to KARE, "Early reports say a large slab of concrete fell onto the cab of a backhoe that was involved in tearing down the old Gillette building."
