Lizz Winstead and Keith Ellison talk women, jobs, and Asian carp on Twitter
Yesterday afternoon, Rep. Keith Ellison and comedian Lizz Winstead joined on Twitter to talk politics and have a little fun. While the two jumped around on a lot of topics, they focused on jobs, economic empowerment, women... and that omnipresent invasive species Asian carp. We collected some of the most memorable moments from their Twitter takeover yesterday.
Winstead launched their chat with a question on a lot of women's minds.
How do women feel positive when so many politicians do not seem to trust us? #KeithAndLizz— Lizz Winstead (@lizzwinstead) July 18, 2013
She also made a plea to lawmakers and got quite the response from Ellison about his political interest (or lack thereof) in private parts.
Can women have your pledge you will stay focused on jobs jobs jobs and not on our private parts? #KeithAndLizz— Lizz Winstead (@lizzwinstead) July 18, 2013
.@lizzwinstead, politicians definitely make crummy gynecologists, for sure. Stay out of where you don't belong.— Rep. Keith Ellison (@keithellison) July 18, 2013
And finally, yes, those pesky Asian carp.
Oh poop we're almost outta time. Can we just plz talk environment for a moment. The Bully of the ecosystem, the ASIAN CARP!! #KeithAndLizz— Lizz Winstead (@lizzwinstead) July 18, 2013
.@lizzwinstead, speaking of invasive carp, I favor closing the Upper St. Anthony Falls lock&dam. We could also make'm into cheap eats too.— Rep. Keith Ellison (@keithellison) July 18, 2013
