KSTP programming director Steven Konrad crashes motorbike into mattress on I-94
KSTP-TV is reporting that the programing director of radio station KSTP-AM, Steven J. Konrad, was critically injured Thursday afternoon when his motorcycle struck a mattress lying in the eastbound lane of Interstate 94 in St. Paul.
The accident happened near the Western Avenue exit, according to the State Patrol. The 46-year-old Woodbury man, who was wearing a helmet, crashed into the mattress after an SUV in front of him swerved to avoid it at the last minute.
Konrad was listed in critical condition Thursday night at Regions Hospital in St. Paul.
