Kenneth Turner allegedly stomped pregnant girlfriend, said she "didn't deserve" baby
Kenneth Turner allegedly beat his pregnant girlfriend for three hours and "stomped" on her stomach because she "did not deserve the baby," according to criminal charges filed in Anoka County.
Turner went to his girlfriend's apartment in Fridley April 13 and punched her, kicked her, and pulled her hair. Then he told her to lie down on the bed and stomped her stomach with both feet, telling her he was "going to kill it," meaning the baby, the victim told police.
No information has been released about the fetus's condition. The girlfriend was two months pregnant at the time.
The girlfriend suffered serious bruising, vaginal bleeding, and felt "significant pain" in her uterus following the attack, KARE 11 reports.
Turner has been charged with first-degree attempted murder of an unborn child and felony domestic assault.
Turner has prior convictions for domestic assault and other violent crimes, public records show.
His next court appearance is scheduled for May 14.
