We were quite excited to have two Minnesotans in American Idol's Top 36 and now it appears we will have to wait until next season for our next big star. Jesse Langseth didn't get enough votes last night to make it into the Top 12.
Langseth sang '80s hit "Bette Davis Eyes" on Wednesday's show. We can only hope that her moment of fame will translate to some more attention in the Minneapolis scene. But she still might have a chance at Idol with a wild card win.
After three more finalists are chosen by viewers next week, the judges invite some of the 27 rejected back for a second chance. Maybe Langseth will make the cut? Newsday hopes Langseth gets another try. E! Online also loved Langseth.
Langseth, 26, lives in Minneapolis with her 8-year-old daughter. Check out her Wednesday night performance and the judge response in our last entry.
Langseth admitted to host Ryan Seacrest that choosing the right song is "hard," says the Star Tribune. Did she make the right choice, he asked? "I think I did," she said.
