Hoping for Inauguration tickets? You're probably out of luck

Congressional offices across the country, particularly Democratic districts, received a flood of phone calls and emails from constituents hoping to get a seat at President-elect Barack Obama's Swearing-in January 20. Well if you weren't thinking ahead, you are probably out of luck.

Each member of Congress will have 198 tickets to distribute to their constituents, according to Huffington Post. With 10 members of Congress from Minnesota, that means a whopping 1,980 people from our state will get in to see the historic event.

But keep your hopes up for a rocking long weekend. Estimates of visitors for that day are already topping 1 million and people without seats can congregate on the National Mall to watch the events on jumbo screens.
