Goldy Gopher and U of M cheerleaders win national titles [VIDEO]
Goldy gets the gold.
Goldy Gopher and the University of Minnesota cheerleaders have managed to do something this year that the teams they support have not in a very long time: Bring home national titles to the Twin Cities campus.
The over-sized rodent and the dance squads competed at the annual championships at the Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando. Goldy was named best mascot. The dance squads took top honors in pom and jazz.
Here's Goldy, proving that a Hawaiian print shirt and a little air guitar can spell C.H.A.M.P.I.O.N. (Maybe he can give Jerry Kill a few pointers.)
