Baseball free agent Delmon Young might be a big dude physically, but right now he's a dinghy caught in a tempest that appears to be a scorned woman.
Young, the former Minnesota Twins outfielder who was arrested for allegedly choking and threatening a valet in a Miami earlier this month, had his Facebook account hacked by a girlfriend.
The pair's romantic connection apparently took a turn toward the embittered on Valentine's Day after Young, who's been unemployed since the Baltimore Orioles released him last summer, dissed her.
Posing as Young on Facebook, the woman charged, "I took a prostitute out for valentines day."
From there the floodgates of allegation opened.
"I'm addicted to alcohol and prostitutes," another post read.
Then there was this: "I paid the police of dominican republic to beat [a woman] up as well, but since i know i am famous and won't get in trouble it was ok.… i dropped my girlfriend off 1000$ because i felt it was ok for leaving her on valentines day."
Despite what appears to be a shattering of trust, the girlfriend does seem open to reconciliation.
"… i don't need you're money !" she posted. "i need loyalty and respect… you need to sober up and call me."
