George Edward Watson killed his brother after bathtub overflowed, police say

By the time St. Paul police got to the house on Charles Avenue Saturday morning, Kelvin Robertson was lying dead on a futon. Now the man's brother, George Edward Watson, has been charged in his death. And it's all because Kelvin let a bath tub overflow according to the Ramsey County criminal complaint carried by the Pioneer Press.

But it's because more than that, of course. George told the cops that Kelvin had evidently spent the previous evening at work on a case of beer and bottle of brandy. The two had argued. George's girlfriend said she woke up Saturday to the sight of water running down from the ceiling. She woke George. A knife fight followed. And the cops found Kelvin stabbed in the chest in mouth.

George Edward Robertson has been charged with second-degree unintentional murder.
