Gagne, accused of having sex with Cretin-Derham Hall teen, surrenders
Gail Gagne, the former Cretin-Derham Hall teacher with a pro wrestling pedigree, has surrendered to authorities, posted bail and has been released from Hennepin County Jail. She was charged two counts of felony third-degree criminal sexual conduct on Wednesday.
Prosecutors say Gagne engaged in unlawful sex with a student in the summer of 2008 at her Bloomington home and at a hotel near the Mall of America. At the time, she was 25 years old and working as the school's weight-room supervisor. He was 16 years old.
A warrant was issued for her arrest on Dec. 3. A hearing in the case is scheduled for Friday, KSTP reported.
Gagne is the daughter of pro wrestler Greg Gagne. She's also the granddaughter of Verne Gagne, a former pro wrestler star battling Alzheimer's Disease. Verne Gagne and another resident at a Bloomington care facility, Helmut Gutmann, got into an altercation in January that ended in Guttman's death. No charges were filed in the case.
