Free parking at Twin Cities hot spots tonight

If you are heading to a main Twin Cities event or going to a party hotspot, you might "land" on some free parking. har har.

The Minnesota State Lottery is offering free parking at several lots in the Twin Cities to celebrate their new Mega Monopoly Scratch Game. Check out the locations below.

Look for the red signs at the following locations. Free parking is first come, first serve.

  • Rod Stewart at the Target Center: the surface lot on First Ave., between 5th and 6th St., in downtown Minneapolis: Free Parking starts at 5 pm, Rod Stewart concert starts at 8 pm
  • The Lagoon Theatre in Uptown: Free Parking starts at 5 pm
  • Saint Paul Saints main surface lot at Midway Stadium in St. Paul: Free Parking starts at 2:30 pm, game starts at 7:05 pm
  • Blink-182 at the Xcel Energy Center: the surface lot at the intersection of Kellogg Blvd. and 7th St., in downtown St. Paul; Free Parking starts at 3 pm, Blink-182 concert starts at 6:30 pm
