Franken thinks Supreme Court nomination stuff is "pretty cool"
It was Al Franken's debut as a committee member grilling a Senate witnesses today and we're not quite sure what to think of it. Well, we have to admit it was "pretty cool".
In his opening remarks before questioning Supreme Court nominee Sonia Sotomayor today, Franken commented on her answer about wanting to be a district attorney after watching the TV show Perry Mason. Well could you believe that while she was watching it in Brookyn, he was watching it in St. Louis Park? They were both just kids!
And now here they sit during her nomination to the U.S. Supreme Court. Franken thinks that's "pretty cool".
